Click on photo so you can really see it.

Special thanks to 815th researcher, historian, and Buster's War reader Dick

I am going to photo shop the scan a bit to see if I can make it show up a little better and crop out the white space.

Also note from the list,Grandpa's friend, Triska is in the photo as well.

"• Guido Civiello of New Philadelphia was drafted into the Army before the war started. He was part of the 815th Aviation Engineers and was sent for basic training in Missouri, then to Scotland and Ireland to build airfields in preparation of the upcoming war. After the war started, he was sent to Africa and Italy to sweep minefields and was discharged as a corporal."

This photo was taken in June of 1944. I have the original, and can send an excellent scan of it. I also currently have a lot of the documentation on the 815th, including "The First Ashore" book from the 1980 reunion. I just converted it PDF, so it can be downloaded. I am the grandson of Lt Col Oscar Lurwig, and currently reside in Atlanta, GA. My grandmother used to be very active in the 815th reunions and is currently still alive, but does not use the internet.
